Wow that's an awesome looking coin. I would be kicking myself if I lost that. Great display case coin. Thanks for posting it for us....

"Una Cuart" is Spanish for one-quarter. The copper 1832-dated Mexican 1/4 Reale coin at the link helpfully provided by Mojjax is extremely close to your 1833 coin's emblem, but it shows the "sun-rays" around the cap in groups of three, whereas your 1833 coin shows them in groups of two. Perhaps the first coins made by the then newly-independent Republic Of Mexico vary slightly in design, like the very earliest US coins do. (For example, US large-cent variations such as the chain-reverse, wreath-reverse, flowing-hair, draped-bust, etc.)
