Nice looking finds, welcome to the forum!

Johnathan Griswold

Welcome to TNet! Awesome finds, I fell in love with 2 of em.

My favorite is the orange one I always fin shards but to find the arrowheads of some of those nice shards is nice.

That's one that I love plus the one 3rd from the top on the left. Love that color too.

Welcome and holy cow those are small! I would like to see the knapping tools.

Yea the funny thing is you find all these big baseball sized pieces of flint but a bunch of small arrowheads but my grandma found a bunch of two inch long arrowheads but why would you leave so much material sitting around?

Depends on the available game I suppose. Mabey that area was great for hunting birds or rodents like goffers. I don't know just guessing. I do know this... its very hard to Knapp that small and precise. Nice stuff.

When you say small game do prairie dogs count but there are antipope and elk on the land to.

I'm sure if they were there they were hunted. Probably alot which would account for alot of small points. Keep in mind I'm just guessing.. but small game probably made up the bulk of the meat while the large game would have been very important but less frequent. Plus the number of large game to produce the same amount of food would have been much smaller so less points. Just a thought.
