Rare Error?

I have a Great Britain 1949 Two Shillings here that looks like it has a Lamination error on it. What do you guys think? IMG_4821.JPGIMG_4822.JPG
 

It appears to be PMD in my opinion. If you look at the X in REX, you can see that the X is obliterated by what ever happened to this coin. If this was a lamination error, then it would have been present prior to the design being pressed into the metal. If it were present, then you should be able to see some of the X in the extra material. Instead, what I see is the gouge disturbing the X that was already there.

PMD in my opinion.
 

Okay. Thanks guys. Time for it to come out of its container and replace it with something that truly has value!
