I found this 1926 s wheaty on my 3 hour hunt. I also found this shell that I need help identifying. I also found 7 bullets, 5 old shotgun shells, 2 square nails, and 2 old 30-06 cartridges.

The cartridge could be from a rimfire henry rifle or something of that sort, it looks to be about .44 cal in the pic. If you could post measurements it would help.

I agree with Ken, the cartridge is a rimfire, looks to be somewhere between 38 and 44 caliber, need the dimensions to know for sure. the "H" is a winchester headstamp.

Wow! Congrats. Looks nicely struck too. The 20s had some really weak strikes. Still waiting for my first key or semi key coin.

yep Henrey rimfire rifle casing Iv found a few myself, Dont know the age but I believe the amoo became hard to get by the early 1900's

Yep, that's a Henry's. The first shells used in the Henry repeater rifle.
I've got a bunch of them that I found at Fort Sedgewick, Colorado.
Should date to the 1860's. Nice finds!!
