I found this 1926 s wheaty on my 3 hour hunt. I also found this shell that I need help identifying. I also found 7 bullets, 5 old shotgun shells, 2 square nails, and 2 old 30-06 cartridges.

The cartridge could be from a rimfire henry rifle or something of that sort, it looks to be about .44 cal in the pic. If you could post measurements it would help.
I agree with Ken, the cartridge is a rimfire, looks to be somewhere between 38 and 44 caliber, need the dimensions to know for sure. the "H" is a winchester headstamp.
Yep, that's a Henry's. The first shells used in the Henry repeater rifle.
I've got a bunch of them that I found at Fort Sedgewick, Colorado.
Should date to the 1860's. Nice finds!!
