This is my boy, Randy. He went out to stay with his sister last weekend and she is involved in animal rescue. There was a female wolf (the Black one) already in captivity. When they brought a male in, they were of course kept separate until she could be spayed. Well, somehow they "got together" before that happened and now there are 8 pups, 4 black and 4 grey..... Randy got to go down and spend some time with them, feeding and watering and playing, he was so excited :) Here's some pics-

Unfortunately, when wolves are brought into captivity and are around humans for any length of time, they are really like dogs. I say unfortunately, because they will never be able to survive in the wild and can't be released, being used to humans. Oregon is trying to bring back wolves, and we now have several pairs over in the northeast corner of the state, much to the chagrin of the ranchers over there. Hopefully with a little patience on both sides, Oregon will have a decent population of wolves again.

What a magnificent animal! Wow great pics and great story.

Your little guy is lucky to have that experiance. :hello2:

That's great, Jeffro! Great experience for Big R there too.
