🏆 Honorable Mentions:

Detector(s) used
XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
My replacement 11" Coil has not arrived yet but I wasn't too bothered as I knew this end of the field was full of trash/nails. These conditions slowed our progress a little but the small coil got me some good target separation & it may have saved me a couple of extra finds compared to the large coil.

I'm very happy with how this field has done, & although we may never cover it again, if it were deep ploughed we would hit the noisy end again.

3 Jettons
1 Scrappy Roman Coin
Large Roman Nail
Some good buttons including a mother of pearl & glass combo :icon_scratch: Early or Late 19th C :dontknow:
Nice Shoe Buckle
Broken but once nice (& lacquered) Buckle with kissing beasts
Medieval Balance Scale Hanger
1/2 Medieval Swivel
Medicine Weight (under this a nice Medieval leather mount in the shape of a bird - my first)
17th-18th C Sword Belt Hanger - sticking out the top of the mud - My best of this type :)
13th-14th C Ring (Annular) Brooch with pin - best example I have ;D
Hammered - Ed I circa 1300 :)
My first 13-14th C Medieval Heraldic Horse Pendant with a hanger - Shows 3 Crowns & Crossed Arrows - The type of item Knight's had on their horse. :headbang:

I'm sure Cru'Dad found something, but I'm not sure what :-X :laughing9: ......(oh yeah, the nice dandy button with loop)

You couldn't complain about those finds, if it were the best time of year :o to be finding them now is a real bonus :icon_thumleft:..pity the mount didn't have the fixing bar, but then again I would take that

But I still don't understand why you would still want to swing that heavy 11", when you are finding great stuff with the 9" :dontknow:

Its only heavy at first, now my small coil feels strange & light/off balance. My main reason is the increased depth on hammered, even tiny ones. On most of my sites the targets are spread out enough to use it, but if I had an area of field as noisy as this one, I would clear it first with the small coil. Other than its pinpointing which takes time to figure out, seems further back than it sounds, it is one of the best coils I have ever tried. The large 12x15 SEF is pretty unstable.

Yes I must've missed this post while I was in Rhode Island, this is a terrific post. The mount in the shape of a Bird is stellar as is that 1600s Sword Hanger, that's just a

SWEET find!! This whole post is First Rate, the intact buckles, the amulet, hammered silver; that's pretty much a full buffet of historical finds across the Spectrum. Congrats

my friend! :icon_thumleft:
