I got a new equinox 800 and 6 inch coil gift today. Im pumped! I just got it charged up and did some target practice in my bedroom! Lol. I just detected gold from fly poop to chunky nugs and coins and discriminated square nails out right next to gold...im excited! Oh and the featherweight compared to what I'm usually swinging is going to be nice!

I'm going to get rid of the 5000...play with this waterproof little dandy vlf until the gpx 6000 is released...then back to pi power.

Seems like a good choice. so the small coil came with it?
i wonder how long it will be until the 6000 will be for sale in the us, maybe by summer?
i should be out hunting now but its rained so much, more coming today. i don't want to deal with the clay/mud.

The small coil was separate so I have the stock 11" also. My local minelab dealer has me on top of the list for the 6000. He can't say much yet. But told me more details should be coming out in the next few days. Hinted at spring

Congratulations on the Equinox. It's a great machine, but I've only hunted nuggets with it once as I have the Goldmonster for a light VLF. I've hunted lots of coins with it though and really love how it operates, great machine.

All the best,

Lanny

That 6000 is really VERY TEMPTING.... Looks to be a real winner hopefully?

I'm in 100%. I sold the 5000 today without even trying. I know it's early but I'm getting ready for it. We should get more details soon. The light weight and external speaker, 2 slap in batteries that last 8 hours each. It's much more automatic and wireless. Splash/ rain resistant. Waterproof coils, New technology that is supposed to blow our minds. Its been 10+ years since the last gpx. Technology has too be better.
