So agitated with the weather in PA. This month out of the 27 days so far it has rained on 20 of them, and it is raining as I am posting this. Along with the rain comes mud had enough of that too. I would like to know is anyone here hunts strictly in wooded areas as I have never done it but I am researching places currently,I always keep my eyes out for large trees with a good deal of the root system exposed and if I can search a 5’ to 10’ radius from the base of the tree out and usually do ok.What is it that you look for in a hunt in the woods

If you're not totally sure of the history of the site, run wide open until you start hitting targets, looking for the hot spot. Look for depressions indicating old cellars, houses etc. Look for what might have been a foundation, made of sandstone and/or stone. Hope this helps! This weekend is supposed to be beautiful in Ohio and Pa...looking forward to seeing your finds..Ddf.
