I drove around looking for a spot this morning, finally stopping at the school by my house. Started swinging, got three hits within 3’ of each other and then it started to pour!! Everything was turned into a muddy, sticky mess, had to abort. I’ll be back there tomorrow.

Any guess on the two things? One looks light fixture related, the other, I dunno (it’s not a Dremmel tool)

Thanks

Holy crap!!!!! There’s two of them!!! Yours looks better than mine. I’ll clean mine up tomorrow, supposed to rain all day anyway.

That cornucopia looking thing is cool....does it have any type of pin back or loop to attach? For some reason I am thinking "posey" holder...is there even such a thing? Ha!

maybe part of a gas light fixture.

That’s what I’m thinking, I found it along a grassy seating area along the right field line that abuts a row of houses built in the 1860’s. Might be their old trash pit/burn pile. I’ll be back at it tomorrow with a bigger coil.

I think it's an old time gas or plumbing compression fitting.

Dang an IHP! It seems that they drop from the sky up there but continue to elude me here in Virginia:BangHead:

Congrats that looks like you have a good spot with promising finds to be made! The IHP's get me psyched every time!

Got me stumped. Never seen anything like it

Next time my friend Ive had that happen to me when the forecast said no rain

Nice finds JD. IHP's are always a good sign. The weather around here has not been the best...that's for sure. It's gott'a change at some point. Can't say that I'm looking forward to the bumper crop of mosquitoes that are no doubt coming our way.

They’re comin’ they’ll be like the ones in Louisiana, the size of small dogs.
