Rain Does Make A Difference UPDATE

Hi all,
? ? ? ? Got off work yesterday and went home and chilled out for a few but being such a gorgeous day with low humidity I didn't want to waste it so around 5:30 I went to a school/soccer field that I have hit quite a few times before with decent results.We FINALLY had some good rain here earlier in the week so the ground wasn't extremely hard and right off the bat I started finding coins.Normally here the coins averaged around 1-3 in but today I found alot in the 4-6 range which made me think the rains could have been the difference.My coolest find was a small pendant(smaller than a dime) that appears to be gold plated that is a "M" in the middle of a circle at about 6in.Coin totals were 7q,8d,8n,22p for 45.I have a club meeting this afternoon and a small hunt afterwards,will post the info later.Will post a pic or 2 later tonite.

The rain makes a big difference and I believe in the halo effect. Hunting on the business trip was very dry and the ground was rock hard, I don't think I dug anything over 3" deep. It rained over the past few days and saturated the ground. My 11 yr old son hunted with me today, he dug a newer coin at 6", will post that cool hunt tomorrow. HH and nice hunt BR, Mike

Just got back from my club meeting and fared pretty well winning both finds of the month catagories in coins and jewelry.I got a silver round in a raffle,3 silver quarters and found 20 silver dimes in our club hunt.It maybe a seeded hunt but silver is silver!
