Gene .. That is beautiful. Many years I dug an iron still bank from a bank in Roanoke Virginia that had a bottom plug on it that looked just like that, although it was plain.
Update 7:33: Here is one I just found on the web, but the replacement's center is missing the brass plate...gives you an idea, though.
It looks like there are embossed words going around the center medallion, is that right? They may actually be easier to read on the back if that’s correct.
I saw something around the edge too. Just a laurel wreath. I added a cleaned up picture, that is after lemon juice.
Thanks for looking. I am going to say Creskol is right due to his experience, and the fact that his confident comment was 'liked' by others with a lot more experience than I have.What about Hubcap wheel center cap? Just thinking due to location found. Maybe older Cadillac because of Laurel wreath?
