I bought a penny lot from a guy's basement this weekend, supposedly all wheat pennies in a bucket, but I did find a few memorials and foreign coins mixed in as well as one Masonic penny. However, the best thing in it was a Civil War store token like the one in this link.

Civil War Token UNC MS R 5 "Pulmonales for Coughs Colds Neat Tone Unharmed | eBay

It is every bit as uncirculated, although mine doesn't have the toning. I can never get a pic to load to this site, so I have just included the link. I have looked at worth point and a couple of other sites online and I believe verified that it is indeed an R5 rarity token and there are only 31-74 known to exist. I have never owned something I knew there were that few of before in my life. Appearently only two stores chose the "Union and Liberty" reverse for their advertising from whoever did the minting. Another vendor in Albany, NY and this "Pulmonales", by a man named Skinner from Boston, Mass. If you have any info on this token, I would appreciate the help. Does anyone have the price guide for Civil War tokens and be willing to give me a value? Thanks in advance if you can help.

Sorry, in my haste to post I realize now that it is an R5 on the Fuld scale and that means there are 76-200 known examples. Still a rare piece in my opinion.

Where is the Mason's penny from? I don't have a price guide for CW tokens. I have the Albany D.L. Wing storecard with the same rev. somewhere though. There are two varieties of the Albany DL Wing (brass/copper I believe), so technically 3 different storecards with the Union and Liberty rev., nice find for sure.

One sold recently on ebay for $60.95 (listed wrong).

Here is another with a BIN price-

The Masonic penny is from Waukesha, WI. Being a mason, I will probably keep it. I haven't found the exact example on Ebay, but similar looking ones, gonna say from the same era, don't sell for enough to make me want to part with it. Thanks for the info on the other CW tokens on Ebay. I saw those and I believe the one I have is a better example, but I do appreciate your chiming in, Diggum. I was hoping you would and thought you were one of my best hopes for help. You do a lot of good on here for many people.

Rarity scale doesn't really tell the whole story because demand plays a big role in value. I have bought and sold several things that only a few were known, and in a few cases I might have had the only one.... but I didn't cash any 5 digit checks. A couple were just in the $200-$400 range, because the items just didn't have a broad appeal... plus one was pretty hurting for condition.

As for your token it seems like you could probably get a hundred, but maybe a bit more if you're willing to hold out a while. Usually when I get something at a steal I'll move it fast for a great profit and not bother hanging on forever just to get another 10-20%.

Thank you IP, that is exactly the dollar figure I had in my head. In fact, I have told two people it is their's for a hundred dollars in cash or silver. And to Clorox, just google "Fuld rarity scale", that will bring you up the scale and how many of each at that level are known to exist. Thanks for all the responses.
