R.E.O Speedwagon

Great music, seen REO probably 6 times or more in the 70s and 80s. Still listen to them to date, early albums were far better than the ballad era.

Some of my favorite REO tunes.

One winter a good friend and I were on vacation in Colorado in the dead of winter, we were driving through a snowstorm in the mountains about dusk when we saw an old pickup approaching us from the opposite direction, the man driving had a full beard and had his head out the window because his wipers weren't working. His beard was iced over and guess what tune was playing on our stereo, yep it was REO's Riding The Storm Out. We both laughed as other driver was actually riding the storm out..... True story!

Another one from their first album. I started listening to REO in 1972, when R.E.O T.W.O. was released.

Look at the crowd, I saw a lot of good concerts with massive crowds and saw some great ones in small clubs.

This was sorta a theme song for me, I worked for Automatic Electric, the installation force for General Telephone installing central office equipment in telephone offices, I was on the road for 16 years, single for the first 6, installing telecom equipment in Florida, Ohio, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, Kansas and Iowa.

I transferred in and out of each state listed multiple times except for Ohio. Only worked there once, but it was a blast! Every weekend room mate and I would drive 45 miles each way to go to the bars on High Street directly across the street from Ohio State University. Bars were packed with college girls. :laughing7:

The song called "Can't fight this feeling anymore" is my favorite of REO Speedwagon's music so far.
