R.E.M. breaks up after three decades

One of the only bands where I will actually leave the room if they are on the radio.

That damn Yoko Ono!!!

Well, to each his own. Somehow I heard of them when they were first startin out and were tourin all the small clubs. Couldn't understand a word Stipe sang. But I liked the overall sound and they were guitar driven. 'Green Grow the Rushes', 'Wendell Gee', got now idea what they were talkin about, but I like the sound. Not the end of the world if they break up. I did understand perfectly what the phrase 'losin my religion' meant, (You kids don't settle down I'm fixin to lose my religion!) and immediately knew 'The One I Love' was not a love song at all. People played that at weddings!?!

I give them about 3 years and then they'll do a reunion tour and make a ton of money. :laughing7:
