DFX, COMPASS SCANNER,
Spent about a hour at the house across the street, same place I found my 3 center the other day. I dug another 20 or so zinc lids, man I hate them, these people must of ate out of the jars and threw the lids out in the yard, not in just one area, all over the place. Anyway I did score a 64D rosie a lipstick case MaxFactor, spoon and what I think is a drag used on leg hold traps, who knows, looks like one. Thats about it, going to hit it early tomorrow and try and get a couple hours in before I have my turkey day with my kids and grandkids, then get this, my storage unit got broke into the other night and I was down there and had my girl call the police, they came down and we were talking and I asked who owned the property next door to the storage units, Old House and about 7 acres, turns out the guy is from Kansas and owes the city a bunch of back taxes so the police asked if I was wanting to detect it, I said YEA what do ya think, he said go for it, any problems tell them I said it was OK. Bang. Thank Ya. Did lose a chain saw and a nice drill out storage, could of been worse, they must of got scared off. Well anyway I cant wait to start on that house. I found a barber half right next to it a couple months ago. HH and thanks for looking. JYD

Very nice!!! :icon_pirat:

I would have guessed it was a meat hook. Nice find though, sucks about all the lids but just think now you wont have to be bothered with the ones you dug up. :tongue3:

That silver rosie sure stands out. Nice finds and glad you got a chance to get out.

The hook may be a well hook, used to get lost buckets out of wells

Being a trapper, it sure looks like a grapple to me! Nice finds

Hey JD,
Nice finds. I was detecting with an old timer several years back, and we got onto
a yard that was littered with zinc caps all over. He told me when he was a little kid,
that whenever he had to take out the garbage, he would look for the zinc caps to
throw around the yard. :-\ ::)

yup, me too. Probably a fox drag. Seems there would be a chain/cable/wire attached.

way to go with the silver!
