So, I got a call back from a landowner and secured permission to access a 100 year old 44 acre homestead near my home.

I (nearly) immediately got ready and headed out there, before the heat of mid day. I was there for about 90 minutes total, and aside from a few pieces of trash and a couple pieces of .22 brass buried at about 7", I found a kid's toy gun. A pretty neat find, if not worth much.

Although the location is really trashy - the north side is literally strewn with trash and evidence of both crime and transients, I do plan on going back. I think this place has some real potential.

Wish me luck! :icon_thumright:

Good luck. Those old toy guns are always fun to find and I sure find more busted up ones then whole ones so good job on the whole one

Good luck! That should keep you busy for quite some time.

That toy gun find is very nice!

On the same note, two weeks ago I had the pleasure of recovering a child's toy cap gun!
