Hello!
Ron and I played hooky from work today and took a quick trip up to that same area in Portland that we hit a few weeks ago. We didn't do as good today as the last time we went ~ I guess we cleaned it out pretty good last time, so we tried some other areas. We thought that the wet ground would help get more targets. Ron dug three silver coins, several wheats, and clad. Here's what I dug:
1937-D Mercury Dime
19 wheats dating from 1925 to 1953
6 clad quarters
23 clad dimes
1 nickel
token thingy
91 Memorial cents
The token is kinda cool ~ It's copper and round ~ 22mm in diameter ~ and both side are the same ~ W R W R with a star in the middle. Anyone have an idea where this token is from? How old is it? What was it used for?
The key is neat too ~ I assume it's brass, copper, or bronze ~ about 42mm long ~ and has the initials Z G. Anyone know what this key is to? How old is it? Who made it?
