Quick hunt produces a Navy button

I am no expert but hate to tell ya,thats a common civilian button...........doesnt have a back left does it?Usually these had a iron back(Nobody would use thin iron in a Marine Enviro)and they have usually rusted away
 

Nice find! Hopefully someone will chime in with more knowledge about it.
 

I'm no expert either kuger but I believe you're correct. Looking at real CW buttons on-line they look very similar but have minor differences and a little more detail. The back of the button is not intact and does appear it rusted away. Compared to an actual CW button I found a few months ago this one seems much thinner also. Thanks for your input.
 

Still a pretty neat find.Obviously has enough age for the back to rust away,and has some nice patina!!
