It was only drizzling on my way home from work so naturally I had to stop at the colonial creek. The usual parking spot had the trucks
from several trout fisherman but I was doing a different kind of fishing!'
I went around the cellar hole to detect along a tributary to the main creek where I've been hunting lately, and I was running the X-Terra
705 on a modified discrim program which only blocks the 48 TID so it's just about an all metal mode and it helps to find good signals
amidst the iron. So, I get a strong 40-42 (48 is the highest on the xterra) next to a large rock, a place I'm sure I've hit before, but missed
this one obviously.
I figured I might get a silver quarter but was surprised to see a large cent pop out instead. As the pictures show, it's in pretty good shape
for these parts. Anyway, It's always a great day when I find a large cent. I also found a flat button, and some lead shot.
Looking forward to an expected nice weekend weather wise. Hope you all do too.
