It was only drizzling on my way home from work so naturally I had to stop at the colonial creek. The usual parking spot had the trucks
from several trout fisherman but I was doing a different kind of fishing!'
I went around the cellar hole to detect along a tributary to the main creek where I've been hunting lately, and I was running the X-Terra
705 on a modified discrim program which only blocks the 48 TID so it's just about an all metal mode and it helps to find good signals
amidst the iron. So, I get a strong 40-42 (48 is the highest on the xterra) next to a large rock, a place I'm sure I've hit before, but missed
this one obviously.
I figured I might get a silver quarter but was surprised to see a large cent pop out instead. As the pictures show, it's in pretty good shape
for these parts. Anyway, It's always a great day when I find a large cent. I also found a flat button, and some lead shot.

Looking forward to an expected nice weekend weather wise. Hope you all do too.:hello2:

Any day out when a big copper lands in the pouch is a good day indeed. Nice job!

gotta love the quick after work hunts. Great save!

Awesome quick hunt, with results like that, u should quick hunt more often!

Nice lc!

Great LC. If everyone else finds one this spring, Will is going to sell his detector, lol.

If you can find an early coin on a hunt that's a great day! Love seeing those big round coins hiding in the dirt

Appreciate the comments. Planned to go out today but my Siberian Husky,Lola needed an urgent Vet appointment. Once I knew she was OK, I stopped and hunted a few minutes by a collapsed footbridge not far from yesterdays site, I found a wristwatch and two wheaties.
