Quick hunt in the new field

I found a 1817 large cent and my buddy found a 1812 large cent. We found some other random stuff like some oil lamp end parts and a couple flat buttons. Not bad for less than an hour.

Congrats! If you found 2 1800s early coins like that in less than an hour... If I were you I would be heading back there again and pounding that field to pieces. 2 old coins in that short of time...Seems to me the land has yet to be found goodies ! HH and Good luck!

Well this is the second time we have been there and for coins we have found one fantastic 1865 2 cent piece, 1797 LC,1812 LC, 1817 LC and a 1818 LC. And a 183? Canadian one cent token. So silver is soon to come.
