Went door knocking this afternoon and got permission to another late 1800’s house that was an Inn in the old days. As usual, the owner said a friend from church had detected it before. So I prayed that he didn’t get everything. 🙏
I dug a cool old copper piece with a design on it that I think was a match safe. It had a small hinged lid and a loop that would have hung from a necklace. Unfortunately the owner snagged that relic from me.
I dug a small “Sterling” ring with a “M-H” markers mark. Any idea on this makers mark?
An old “P.O.D.” 2-piece post office button. Any idea on the age? I can make out the word “Superior” on the back. Can’t make out the other words.
A small magnifier made in Germany.
A dresser flower knob.
Also about 8 wheats and some 1950’s and 60’s nickels that the owner took.
They want me to detect their old cabin at a later date, I also got permission to detect their friends house (1920’s) down the road, and the friends early 1900’s rental house. 👍
Not too bad of an afternoon.
Thanks for looking,
MM
