Look at similar damascus knives/daggers that have sold on eBay for a price range. Then offer 50% of that.

PLEASE note I said "sold" items, NOT listed items!

CraftVatika has similar on Amazon for $89.00 to 99.90 (and free shipping).

Does it come with any providence of where and when it was made? Someone might call you on it being an "Indo-Persian Knife" if you can't show that to be the case.

You should only offer half of what you will sell it for.

Gabriel, respectfully, with 3 fuzzy pics and absolutely 0 for provenance,
how in the world is anybody supposed to be able to tell you what the knife
is worth?

How long is it? (place ruler next to knife and take pic)

What is is made from? It looks like Damascus steel, which could either
make it very old, or brand new and just aged to make it look old.

What about the handle material? Steel? Bone? And the sheath..does
it show age wear, and what is it made from?

Folks on here really do try their best to help out others when there
are questions, but in all honesty it's hard to do without knowing
anything about the item other than a couple pics.

It looks cool, but can you find out more about it?

Time for a new set of eyes Dizzy I'll grant you the first photo is fuzzy the next two are pretty crisp for detail. At least they are on the 27" monitor. :)

Before you do anything, have you physically handled the knife and inspected it? Can you do that? Make sure there's no "India" stamped in the base of the blade first and that everything feels tight and well made, or that if anything is loose that it's honestly loose from age and not poor manufacturing. It looks like a good dagger from the pics but that's no guarantee. I would want to know that the writing on the blade translates to, and I would want to test the inlay to see if it's gold, or just polished brass... There are a lot of collectors of Islamic daggers who may be able to pinpoint an origin for you, My thought when I saw it was Ottoman, but I really don't know much about these
