Took the E-trac out for a quick 1 hour walk yesterday on some new property. The field has 3-5" high soy bean stalks so swinging the coil is difficult, but looks like this field has potential. A few days ago I pulled a button and a 5 cent token and yesterday I got these finds below. Found an area of the field where there was a lot of broken/bent pieces of brass so I decided to slow down a bit and listen close for deep signals. First one that came up was the .54cal three ringer. This sucker was deep! I had to dig about 13" down to get it. You can see in the photo that my 11.5" Lesche digger is below the top of the hole. I was surprised at the depth the E-trac got this at. Then about 15 minutes later I got a solid 12-12 signal. I knew it was a nickel, but what type was to be determined. Plopped the plug out and there it was. Looks like a 1919 to me. Heading back this afternoon to see if I can pull any more goodies out.

Happy Hunting!
