Questions on 2 rings

Hi folks! The first ring was dug at an older house. It is marked sterling but has gold plating that is wearing off. After I dug it the more I rubbed it the more plating came off. Was this popular during a particular time period? I think it is called "vermeil"?

The secong ring is marked .925 and is signed Jidae or didae. Probably a custom made ring. Any ideas on who Jidae is?
