Never Per Hour.
But a Month or year "Rental Fee" yes.

How much woud depend on How Promising the Site,
And No more then $100.00 for a Year.

I would not pay by the hour either.

I would only "rent" the site for on a monthly or yearly basis only.

Would have to be a very special site for me to pay at all.

I don't see any site yielding $100.00 worth of detecting targets. Even thought to be virgin sites sometimes have been picked clean in the 70s.

I'd pay what I believe I might be able to get back in clad. Anything else found would be the bonus of course.

I have paid to detect farmers fields that are close to Civil war battles, I always offer 20 bucks and have never been turned down

Sounds like a good idea. I never thought of that. Heck, it would be worth $20 just to hunt some places I've been drooling over even if I didn't find much. I've spent $20 on a lot less before, lol... Thanks for the tip

Personally, no as there are plenty of places I can't even get detected out in my lifetime. I have a couple places with over a hundred acres. That would take a lifetime right there to cover every inch!

However, I guess people pay big $$ to detect England :)
