Although this spear head (at least what I think it is) is not mine. I was wondering if any of the rock hounds on this site could put a possible age to the stone, round about anyway. It was found by a friend while out kicking around in a field. Top of the ground find and would have been bit if it was a snake ya know. Anyway any help would be welcomed and thank you. Other than that I have been to busy working to really get out and do any MD'ing, but I can't wait for the October hunt......HH all........gregd573.

Was it found in Mo.? If so than the material is Mozarkite(Spelling) and it is a celt. It was used for wood working and ground work as well.It is from anywhere 8000 to 1000 years old. Hope this helps.
