Question on Sov.GT water depth ?

You can hold the GT in a bag from your neck an you are fine till you either fall down or step in a hole.
 

The Sovereign is a GREAT detector at the beach and in the water, BUT if you aren't careful it will become a great paperweight.

I have 2 Sovereign GTs, one is waterproofed for use in the surf and the other I use when I'm not going into the surf and I will not go deeper then knee deep or less. I highly recommend you hang it from your neck, get it as far away from the water as possible.

Another warning, salt spray....I suggest you put a gallon baggie over the top of it before you put it in the carrying bag. You can still adjust the controls, but you will be protecting it from the salt spray.

I suggest you give some thought to getting a WOT coil if you don't have one, a Sovereign GT and a WOT coil becomes a beach vacuum....

Thats my intention ill have the stock 10 and a S-12 plus the 15 WOT ill take all that advise from you pro,s a bag it is , i dont intend to go in ruff surf with it Thanks guys :thumbsup: Jim
 

Dead Calm , shin deep, at low tide ... if I see white caps , Im out of there .... Good Luck
