Question on my XLT

Ok I'm really new but have had some very minor success. (Barber Dimes etc.) I get a nice +60-80 reading and start digging. Nothing, I check in all metal mode and it seems like the hole is in the wrong place so I dig where the signal is now strongest. Nothing, I recheck and it seems to have moved again and so on and so on until it looks like I'm digging a trench! No it's not my shoes or the shovel, what gives??

Can't figure what the problem is. My XLT is a jem, which is standard for the breed. Just keep at, you will figure it out.

I ran into that probolem or similar problem and finally figured out I was on top of a buried electric cable going to the park lights. It was too far down for me to reach thank goodness. Similarity is that I wound up digging a trench about two feet long and 6" deep before I figured out what was going on! JIM
