I went out today with my dfx and was pretty successful, found a 61 Rosie. I was running in 3 kHz and the vdi was reading 79-81, what a clad dime would in 15 kHz. I thought this was a bit high but it got me to thinking if I was missing silver quarters that were reading higher as well. I have never found a higher denomination silver coin than a dime, so I was wondering if any of you could share your experience on silver quarters especially, what is the highest they have came in on the vdi scale in 3 khz, if they bounced from the 80s to iron, etc. I started hunting in 3 kHz with normalization off to pull the numbers down due to my suspicion that the silver in my ground was reading off the vdi scale. Thanks for any info.
