I would like to give someone an artifact from my collection. This will be free of charge and before The Negatives start chiming in - This will be a P.F. and to the very best of my knowledge is Very Authentic. I wasn't sitting with the Native American when he or she made it, but like i said, i have scoped it and believe it to be authentic. After you receive it you can post it and ask all the experts on the forum of it's authenticity. I have seen on the forum that members send each other artifacts and i would like to do the same for someone. I will even pay the postage and shipping. If you will simply like this post, then i will put your name down and in a week, i will draw out the name. I hope this is ok and meets guidelines. If not, at least everyone will know i tried. gw1.jpggw2.jpggw3.jpggw4.jpg I have added pics of the point i will be sending. I hunt Missouri quite often and Dalton Points are very prevalent. This piece is a no brainer with patina, minerals and ancient resharpening evident. I hope you guys are not offended by my simple gesture, but if i sent anything of greater value, it would DEF be called a fake. Enjoy and thank you. I will be sending it out a week from tomorrow. I will draw the name next Sunday.

Can't seem to find the like button on this new phone but write me down. You always got some purtty points

That's a good gesture and shows what a person of honor you are. I'm sure anyone that has read your post would be very happy to receive it. I hope you don't give it to your Critics. They need no rewards for their bad behavior. God Bless you and your decision.

Sounds fun.

Looks kind of like that point was broken and they reworked it back into a Dalton. Notice the angle of flaking in the base.
Nice find.

Buddy, in my opinion that is exactly what happened.

The forum does have a rich history of members sharing pieces. I'm not sure if Larson1951 started it, but he certainly made it his own with his numerous gifts to different members. He did it a little less dramatically than this, but the idea of sharing is good.

This was a private message I got from him about 3 months after joining the forum.

I sincerely apologize if i did this wrong. I know the gentlemen mentioned was well thought of. My intention was not to disrespect him in any way. I also think this would be a good start to help us all join together in unity and possibly make some new friends. Just my two cents for whatever it is worth to you. Respectfully, Mogi

I think it's a fun and kind idea. It will be something to be hopeful about and look forward to. Thanks Mogi!

That's an awesome thing to do Mogi !!!!!

That is very generous offer Mogi. You'll likely get something besides an opinion in return. Many here are generous.

I don't think you did yourself any favors with the comment about the more valuable pieces DEF, being called fakes though. You would get as honest an opinion sending one of the high test points to someone for examination as your pf's would..... And, you wouldn't have to give it away. I'd bet most that would be interested in examining one of those questionable pieces would also split the shipping.

Great idea Moji. Thanks for the most generous freebie opportunity. Occasionally, I'll give silver coins to the person that guesses the closest to my clad total. Everyone loves these little giveaways.

Please enter my name in the drawing.
