Question - Friends Broken Glass

My best friend had a ginger jar. The jar broke and the lid is all that remains. I would LOVE to find a replacement for her, but I have a feeling that it could be a bit out of my price range.

At first look, I would have said opalescent Vaseline glass, but it doesn't glow with a black light.

Any leads?

If this is the lid, what did the bottom look like? Just a regular squat shaped Ginger jar or was it footed? It reminds me of an old apothecary jar lid versus a ginger jar. How wide is the bottom that fits over the jar?
From my own personal experience, your gonna be hard pressed to find a mate to that lid. I've been looking for a Blue Czech glass perfume bottle to go with an elaborate stopper I have for 2 years. I've also been looking for a stopper to go with a Kluk Kluk decanter I have for just as long.

I looked on ebay + goog imgs... at swirl glass jar + candy jar and found a few that had the turm and new found description for me of circus tent lid. None come up the same color, but we've no clue of the shape and size of the bottom. If your friend could search images and find one in shape and size as what her's looked like and cut/paste that image here, we could maybe keep are eyes open for one like it. As I mentioned, I searched Swirl Glass Jar, Circus Tent Lid & Candy Jar and came close, but no cigar. I'm sad for her :'-( loss, hope it works out.

Let me ask her and get back to you. I know that the bottom matched the top. I will find out from her if it was footed or not. Her one cat knocked it down and she was devastated.
