Question about Whites 12" 300 coil

I think it depends on what machine you are using it and on what type of water (salt or not). I had a mxt 300 that came with the same coil and never used it since I never found a place or a soil that would work with that coil without chatter...

I use the 12 inch coil attached to my Beach Hunter 300 and have a good time with it. I'm sure if you mount it on the M6 and use it in fresh water you will do well. If in salt water use the MXT Pro in Salt mode and take your time. Get a good beach scoop. I go knee deep at old swimming areas with my DFX.

The 12 inch coil is best used in low trash areas such as shallow water and beaches. In water you can fill a couple socks with sand to help hold your coil underwater while you search, as long as you dont get your box wet you can go deeper then your ankles, the coils are water proof. In high trash areas the 12inch coil is useless because it reads too many targets at once and confuses the machine, use a smaller coil for parks, the 950 and 10DD and are better all purpose coils.
