I went and bought a tumbler yesterday and cleaned about 200 25-cent pieces and about the same amount in 10-cent pieces along with 125 five-cent pieces, these coins ranged in age from 1943 to present and when removed from the tumbler they were still a little grey in color so I would like to know if I missed something. The formula I used was one tablespoon of amonia, one teaspoon of soap, one hand full of pool filter sand and two handfuls of white fish-tank rocks.Should I have added some water to this??
Only ran them in the tumbler for two hours. The pennies I did turned exellent but not happy with the other coins.
Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks
