Question about numbers and letters

Hoping someone can give me some idea as to possible meaning.
I'll try to explain description as best I can because I'm going off of pictures of rock that
is now destroyed. Can't send pics now don't have tech. but maybe will fig. out how to later.
Besides all the lines and other designs there are numbers 4s and a 7 ? Then letters are
J, h, Y, T and maybe a v. Not together in a line but just scattered around. I lean toward
Spanish with this. Any ideas?

Keep an open mind to all possibilities. Mostly likely those words and numbers have multiple meanings. First thing i think of with four and seven is "square and compass". The context is important. You have many hours of "due diligence" ahead of you. But feel free to speak your ideas, you might have confirmation by others or a little input that will help out.

Usernotfound, Thanks! At one time I thought or read that 7 meant silver ? Guess was thinking 4 s would have some meaning like that. With the curving lines I was thinking lay of the land creeks hills and bluffs. But numbers and letters are facing different directions. The 4s could even be hs if turned right. It was found in a creek bed and then moved.
Lime stone rock was cut in a circle about 4 ft. across. Also has turkey tracks. What do you mean by sq. an compass?

Seven or something that looks like it... could mean gold depending on the context. It all goes back to context. That is why dusty was asking for more info. Signs and symbols often refer to landmarks. It makes sense for a messenger to use landmarks as reference points. What I mean esoteric knowledge which square and compass. Just guessing here but if your rock is a circle the "map" might mean it could be read from multiple directions. Your symbols might need information hidden in plain sight in the surrounding area. By no means am I saying you have a gold mine, just trying to help. What makes you believe these symbols should in investigated further?
