I very rarely get multiple coins in the hole, and if I do its usually just zincs.
Yesterday I got a 64 quarter and dime and a 57 wheatie all in the same hole!

My question is, all you park hunters, is that something that occurs alot with you, or was it just absolute lightning strikes once luck?

Dave multiple finds in one hole (coin spills) usually happen for me on a good hunt 3 to 4 times each trip. On an average hunt 1 or 2.

Greg, I guess my original question should be reworded to say "silver" or "older" coins in the hole, not clad.
With that being said, how are your results in that manner?

I have had 4 coin spill holes.(silver, wheat or Indians) Doesn't happen very often, but it sure makes me happy when it does.

Not good...you may want to reword it! :D Only four silver coins this year still....14 rings....most silver...two gold. One of the gold rings was under two pennies just off to the left. Acouple of my wheat pennies have been with a coin spill. But some day a large silver/wheatie coin spill would be nice! ;D

When I hunt parks I get a few multiple coins in the same hole...actually I try to imagine where a good little spot for a amorous picnic might be and thats where I head.. :-* :-* :-*

Jumped a claim & fence, once, back in the Spring of '05; pret-near the Tin Mt. Mine in the Black Hills. NE of Jewel Cave, aways.
12 coins, maybe, 'bout 68-cent in total, ranging from 1974-92. Along with 'bout eight zillion cig butts.
Someone dumped and buried the contents of their ashtray, I recon.

I found five in a stack last week at "my" town park. "Touching" multiples happen maybe once in 10 hours. Coins within 2" of each other maybe once in 5 hours. The rarest is coins vertically spaced. Maybe once in 50 hours. Always re-sweep the hole.

Dave,
You don't have to reword this post, you posted everything very clearly.

I have only gotten 1 or 2 multiple old coins in holes since I have been detecting.

In March this year I found a few multiple clad coin spills, one was 7 pennies in a circle, all were about an inch apart from each other, just under the grass.

Hey Dave actually yes it does happen to me often . I have a couple older parks that I hunt that give up pockets or multiples of oldies (silver, wheaties, etc) in the same hole . Also called (honey holes) it doesn't get any sweeter than that when you uncover one . I do not hunt for clad , it's a freebie and I'll take it , but oldies and silver or gold is my intention .

Next time I'm camping, and have to dig a cathole, I'm topping it with some pennies!

Drop a bottle in with it, too. Those bottle hunters flock to privy holes like little dung beetles. :D

To answer your question - no it does not happen much. One in this many or that many hours, perhaps. But in the end, no, not too much.

Sorry to highjack this thread with this post.......

DFX-Gregg, I guess you didn't read the 2nd line in my post. And I was responding to Daves post, not yours. I don't disagree with everything everyone says either. I have read some of your posts where you disagree with lots of people,on a lot of different forums, and when someone else disagrees with your thoughts a few times, you don't like it???

I will take being ignored by you, as a great honor!!!! Thank you!!!!!
