Question about how you treat your dump banks

I've noticed on many posts that people talk about being extra kind to banks that order coins. is that really where the emphasis should be for someone that only orders a box of halves a week? I look at the prospects of dumping my coins, and so far they are dim as no place seems to have free coin counting machines (best I've found yet is 3% fee). Maybe the key is to be extra nice to the people who are willing to take the discards. Managers at hte dump bank seem the most likely to start charging fees or cut you off all together. I've read many posts from people who had a bad experience that then "punish" that bank by dumping the coins there. Wouldn't it be just as good to be extra kind to them by giving the occasional token of gratitude? I'd love to hear thoughts as I'm completely new to this.
Thanks!

I think most people are kind to both dump and pick up banks. I bring both of them treats. However, if I had to lose one, I'd rather lose a dump bank. I can always drive another 5 miles to get another one. My pick up banks have my system down. I can change my order, and order as much as I want. I don't want to lose that, so they get priority

I cant afford to lose a dump bank. Next set of banks is 27 miles away.

I treat mine like gold. I load the coin machine with the bags for them so they dont have to lift them etc.

If your coins are rolled most banks dont charge you but will threaten to dock your acct if your short.

I have 1 pick-up bank, and it happens to be the Credit Union I do most of my personal business with as well...large cash savings...safe deposit box...car loan. I don't wanna upset those girls, so I take care of them.

I have 8 different dump banks...I use 2 a week...if I lose one...no biggie...if a particular branch gets upset with me dumping $750 once a month...so be it.

Dump banks are my limiting factor. I have 3 with machines nearby. Of those invariably 1 has a broken machine. It makes it tough to dump more than 1000/week. I'm hoping to work up to using bags at some local branches. Once that is in place, my half ordering banks will be my favorites.

Right now I can only dump $2000 a week, I might be able to get away with $3000 a week. I am planning on getting another dump bank on board, I will be using them for $500 a week in halves and $200 a week in nickels and $50 a week in pennies ( dumped on separate days ).

When I go up north to CRH, I have 3 banks to dump at up there as well. I will be using one for $1000 in dimes and the other two have been undecided as of yet. Depends on where I get my volume to. My goal is to get a large pull down here, dump up there when and pick up from some pick up banks up there to dump down here. I have not worked out the specifics on it yet, I still need to work on some numbers but it should get me approx 12 boxes a week worth of volume, maybe even 20 if all goes well. I have 2 buy banks down here and at least 3, maybe 5 up there. Its going to be rather tricky to work everything out. At least I have another bank to the NE that I have a possible 2 bump banks to use as well. That would require 2 more accounts set up, which are in my plans shortly.

Yeah, trying to not piss off the banks in small communities takes a lot of extra work. I dont have the luxury of a big city but at least I have the silver of an old community.

I try to treat ALL of my banks as awesome as possible. I usually act like I am asking for a huge favor if they would grab me a few boxes and order me a few more, most often they fall all over themselves to tell me how it's not a big deal and I can order how ever much I want.

The only reason that I do my dumps at a certain bank is because they flat out refused to order me ANY coin, so now I am giving them plenty of coin to redistribute through their customer operated coin counter. I am always as nice as possible to the tellers there though, I want to be remebered as that really nice guy who drops of a bunch of coins rather than that rude jerk who is always jamming up the coin counter ;D

I'm going to echo the same feelings as many here. I treat them all with respect and kindness.

`Yea what ever it takes.I now opened 6 new acct to do the boxes am trying to do.I play the game tell them what they want to hear. And rotate dumps. I almost allways do$1000 at each dump. :headbang:

Tim. When you open an account at these banks, is it a savings account with a minimum amount, or do you deposit another say another thousand dollars there to cover the coins?

I am going to do the same for a dump bank/banks and am looking for advice.

Thank you
