I have found 3 complete sets of coins a company is selling. Could anyone tell me if they are worth the prices. I was going to buy them for my 7 year old daughter. please anyone let me know what you think.

Lincoln cent set from 1909 until 2004. includes all mints. Price is $70

Susan B. Anthony set from 1979-1981,1999. all mints. price is $80

Jefferson Nickle set from 1938-2004 includes all mints. price is $40

What company? Personally I would sit down with the daughter and go through rolls of coins from the bank and a couple of Whitman folders. I think she would enjoy the time together better. Then take her MDing and she can help find and fill them giving her even more satisfaction.

We already do those things together. We have missing coins in our sets. I was going to buy these for her just to have the complete sets. We can still work on our sets.
Any ideal if these sets are worth the money?

alot would depend on Condition.

? ?The Lincoln Cent Collection, IF complete P-D & S varieties would be good. 1909-S? 1911-S? 22-D? 24-D ?31-S in at least FULL GOOD condition

? ? the S.B.A.'s ONLY if their Proofs

? ?The Jefferson Nickels If at least MS65

? This is My Opinion.

I would have to agree with Jeff, the lincolns would be a decent price if it had all of the key dates in there. I assume they are not including a 1909S VDB in there as that one would be worth the price itself. I would avoid the Susan B colletion, as they will probably never do anything value wise as there were too many minted and collectors just dont like them. The Jefferson nickels might be ok if they grade VF-XF or better.

actually they state the lincoln set does come with the VDB. Though most likely not the S. probably the no mint mark

the 1909 VDB is a fairly common coin.

I'v dug several.

and your right, it definately wont have the S-VDB at that price.
