Hey y’all after all this rain, I found this in the creek. It is snapped slightly on the back, but I am fairly certain it’s something. If it’s not I will keep looking. Thanks for reading! B9997283-11DB-4513-91FB-18820778E98C.jpeg04B178E2-973B-4956-AE88-0151671F8DBF.jpeg

That looks like a half of an upper point. That in my opinion would have been twice the length if complete. Sometimes youll find the bass very near by upon searching. Hunters tend to step on them. Very nice

Sorry upon further inspection your just missing the very bottom. Idk though. Very nice

Still a cool find theres gotta be more there Great find

A nice quartz tip. Missing the base limits your chances identifying the type of Projectile Point or tool.

Just the same, I appreciate a look at the base and the other side (if possible).

Thanks for the replies. I believe y’all are correct with it being a tip. Here’s the back and the base. Base looks snapped, so I think y’all are right about it being tip. Still happy as it is probably my first one of 2020. Haven’t cleaned the back yet. 29E6ACAA-2CCB-4C93-94ED-C9825208A597.jpeg6D7CE9A4-840A-4E1E-AE2B-AA308547EC65.jpeg

Good finds, I find alot of broken tips here, I put all my brokes in a seperate box and some times I find matches.

That’s a cool find any day.
The cross section is elliptical and reveals beveling on both edges; uncovering a little bit more of the mystery.
