Quartz thing I have

Airborne posted a neat looking quartz thing he found (HERE)and it reminded me of this thing I had found so here it is. It looks like a point base so I picked it up. Then I found another triangle piece that looks like it fits and makes it complete but something is weird about this one so I keep it separate. The tip piece has lines on one side and not the other. Around here milky quartz things tend to be crude so any ideas?

What look like lines seem to be dried-up algae.

Looks like a paleo or Dalton point that broke in half with one corner of the basal half used as a tool edge.

I have no clue other than it didn't look natural. The base half is clean and white, the top half is scuzzy and darker. I cleaned off the scuzz from the bottom piece with a toothbrush and Dawn...before knew better I guess. We aren't supposed to clean these are we? Or is that just coins?
I like clean stuff.

Your cleaning methods are fine for arrowheads. Everyone does it there own way. I agree with Uni it looks like the base of a Dalton. Very old and nice. We always figured the ancients kids around here worked and learned on the quartz cause they are rough like you say.
Thanks for sharing.
