Quartz knife or scraper?

I think this might me a hand held scraper. It has a neat tear drop shape. What do you guys think and is there a name for this style knife?

I don't know it's "official" name or style- but it is really cool. As thick as it is in the center, I bet it was used and edge re-shaped more than once. Nice piece....
