Hello, everyone I'm new here. I've been gold prospecting a few times a year for the last 5 years. Still learning the tricks and trades of prospecting. I'm going to post a couple of pictures of quartz rock that may have small amounts of gold. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated. Thank you! 20210605_212047.jpg20210605_212202.jpg20210605_212339.jpg20210605_212131.jpg20210605_212025.jpg

Not a prospector but FYI most of the time iron stained quartz is commonly found while gold bearing ones are only found around few locations in an area.

I appreciate the feedback! I sent a few finds to a lab a few years back that i located roughly 7 to 8 ft from creek bank. Results showed gold was present, not enough to invest into extraction. I found these rocks further uphill, they seem heavier than the my first find. Do you know of anyway to determine gold content without crushing?

IMO, one of the best options to determine gold content is to determine the specific gravity of gold inside a quartz specimen.

Hope these links help v.

You should also post some of your other finds in the Gold Prospecting Forum for more attention related to your specimens. Good luck:icon_thumright:
