Quarter Master Button?? Help

I found this Button today and I need a little help with it. I posted more than this on toady's find and someone said it had the symbol of the Quartermaster Corps. Does anyone have any Information on this button/rosette? Was there a Quartermaster Corps that fought in central VA?

That design wasn't adopted until 1896, so later than that.

Looks like a WWII vintage collar disc. The posts are probably threaded.

Ya'll are spot on as always. Found one on Ebay. I'm a little bummed but its still cool. It makes you wonder how it got there. Thanks for the help.

Is that an old lipstic tube ? If so it could have a date on the bottom. Let us know.

The US Army Quartermaster School is at Ft. Lee, Va.

Good school.

It is a lipstick tube but no date on the bottom. It still has lipstick in and boy is it bright red. Extra Classy.
