Found early on this week on a fairly short hunt (cut short by rain) but just before the downpour l was lucky enough to find this very small Gold coin. only about 11mm diameter, and 1.4 grams.
my 1st quarter for 3 years. lucky it was only about 3 inches deep. and it was like new when found
even if its over 2000 years old.

Wow, what an awesome find. Congratulations on a super find.

Let's get this up on the BANNER ! (Then we'll have two 2000 year old Celtic gold horse coins up there !!)

That's a banner find OldSoapy! Man you Brits are spoiled over there :laughing7: I'm gonna have to get back there soon. Very nice find

Yep, can't really get much better than that.
A 2,000 year old gold coin is the kind of thing Indiana Jones could be expected to go looking for.
People go to museums to see this type of coin! To own one is a real privilege! :notworthy:

Awesome! Those gold coins are fantastic! Congrats!

Thats my dream coin right there big congrats !! :occasion14:

That's a really crisp looking pony, congrats on the recovery.

I found my first of that type in Aug last year! This is why we dig so many hole, its what its all about!

How come you still have good ground this time of year?

I'm lucky l have two fields of sugarbeet which are still small enough for me to detect, but then it looks like nothing untill the winter barley in about 4/6 weeks, Cheers, Hutch.
