Quarter Controversy

Proofs are only being Produced at the San francisco Mint "S".

Altho It could be Counterfeit since N.H. had a 98, I don't know why
someone would Counterfeit a Quarter, Other then, to see if they can,
or to Produce an "Error" coin.

altho you say it looks silver, I wonder if someone Polished it for some reason.

If possible I would check the weight on it, I dont know what quarters are supposed to weigh so you would have to check a couple to see. Could be a nice error.

I was recently reading about how some of the 1999 Delaware Quarters were struck on experimental planchet.
You ?can check it out at this site:http://coinfacts.com/quarter_dollars/50_states_quarters/delaware_experimental.htm

The info their showing for the 2002 Ohio doesn't say anything about any of them being done this way, but maybe you have discovered the first one... ;D
Info on the Ohio Quarter can be found at this site:http://coinfacts.com/quarter_dollars/50_states_quarters/ohio.htm

May be worth checking out...
Good Luck & Happy Hunting~

It feels about the same weight.it could be polished but that wouldn't explain the absence of the seeing the clad center.
