Me and my buddy fast Eddy took Tnet member RussM out for a walk to one of our local haunts that is a long hike in. Anyway, didn’t find too much, but everyone got something cool. Eddy found a very nice monogrammed silver baby spoon next to one of our cellar hole spots, unmarked but obviously silver and monogrammed with “MA” oddly enough. Russ, who drove up from cape cod pulled up a very nice civil war style token dated 1863 and Charles Lang, whoever he is, I’m sure I’ll find out shortly. Anyway, I got a 1742 one Reale on my 4th hole and nothing much after that. Good fun, lots of walking, I’m freakin tired.

Heyyyyy... you've had your share for the year. Leave some for the rest of us.

Congrats on another Spanish!

Very nice hunt...
Something special for everyone.

That was one beautiful coin, first I've seen in person. 278 years old... blew my mind.

The walk... blew everything else....gonna sleep good tonight!

Thanks for the invite guys, had a blast....

Joe Dirt is part mtn goat... couldn't keep up!

I will take one of those days....anyday. You each got a killer find!

The token is indeed a Civil War store card. This small snippet appeared in the Civil War token journal Vol. 30 in 1996:

Value and pics here, but it's definitely your token Worcester, Massachusetts - Civil War Token Coin Values
My buddy posted the same on Facebook earlier today, but thank you. I couldn’t believe the condition of it when it came out of the ground. Russ actually found it and googled it, in good shape, it’s a pricey token.

Well Dirt, that's a great hunt when everybody gets a nice keeper. Always an extra bonus to get a Spanish silver with good detail left. Store cards don't come out of the ground everyday either.

Very good hunt results Bob.....the real is in nice shape.

Nice Reale,

It was worth the sore knees in my eyes.

Congratulations to all of you! Good grabs for everyone. Thanks for sharing!

Most excellent hunt. I can imagine it’s one of those where you walk around for a while seems like forever between targets. That is exhausting but well worth it!
