Nice find , that's a gorgeous point in either case it looks to be Transitional Paleo .... Could it be a Hinds?

Im not familiar with hinds points arrow but i will check it out thanks. I am really happy to have found it whatever it may be, its the first one with a base like that i have found.

Dalton Hardaway I think

Thanks for the opinions i was leaning towards it being some type of dalton.im just really happy to find it stuff like that is what keeps me going

Wow that is a sweet one. In my book it would pass as a Dalton or something called a Hi-Lo maybe?

Mudman - great find. I'd say it's an early archaic Dalton variant. Hi-lo is usually a wider point relative to length. Beaver Lake and even Quad usually exhibit more traditionally paleo flaking. Dalton has several eared variants that would be prevalent in your area. Great find, intact 9-10,000 year old points are hard to come by.

10,000 years is hard to wrap the mind around.....
