Holy cow JYD. That frame looks great. You have found some very nice pieces. I would not glue anything. But that is just me. i like to take them out and look at them!! LOL

wally world, or hobby lobby sells that padding by the bag, you just need to thicken it up, and get a piece of that felt and you will be good to go!

I agree, I'd just fill it with more padding until you get a snug fit. Sweet frame there JYD, I have to say you find some of the most interesting Mo. materials I've seen. What is that purple stuff?

thanks flintfinder, if you read this could you tell me the reason they heat treated to change the color or to make it stronger, or something else?? wes

Thanks for the close ups on that point, that is some cool looking chert. Lithic materials were heat treated to make the stone more workable and easier to knap.

The colors in the frame are nice and it looks like you got some big'uns to show for you hard work.

Yeap, Made it easier to knap, and in the process Heat reacts with the molecules of the chert and makes for some awsome colors, bulls eyes, and wicked designs in some ....

Very nice frame JYD.
I was wondering when we were gonna get to see your finds.
Happy hunting in 2011!!
