The 3 items I am about to post were found in the same area, the area was in use from as early as the mid 1500's to present. These were all located in shallow salt water. On the bullets what I need to know is what kind, they appear like a .22cal but they have rings on them and are longer than any .22 I have seen. The crown thing has a base the size of a nickle, and the rusty thing, not a clue. They could all be the same era or all could be decades from each other. My brother found the crown thing and the bullets.

The crown lookin' thingy looks like the handle to a lid for a cooking pot. Kinda fancy for a pot lid but maybe something along those lines. HH Charlie

yeah it appears to somehow of maybe unscrewed or corked from something, I was thinking maybe some type of salt or spice or vinger like shaker something that would be used on a ship.

The rusty thing reminds me of a hanging light fixture, maybe the center part that sticks down in the center pointing at the floor.

I was thinking some kind pull bar type thing perhaps used on a ship like a steam ship

I am usually pretty knowledgible about bullets, and if those are indeed .22 calibers bullets, they look like home cast bullets with multiple grease grooves . I have seen these handloaded for shooting at lower velocities in rifle matches and less often used in high powered .22 caliber rifle cartridges, loaded at lower velocities for hunting small game. Not identical, but here are examples of what I am talking about. Monty

the .22 bullets look more like the broken tips off of target arrows to me.
you might try probing the ends to see if there is wood in them.

Trying to look through the extensive rust on the third item I come up with an Iron bolt with a washer and nut on one end and the bolt head on the other. Very old stuff there for sure.

Interesting thought about target arrows, I will have to check those out more closely, could be, especially after seeing what the salt water does to some of the lead fishing weights.

Now on the third piece I gotta do some cleaning I just have it soaking in water right now. At the top is some type of designs, I couldn't make out what exactly except a patch looking design, you know the out line of what a coat of arms would be. I will give it a week or so and then see if I can clean it up a bit.

that long rusty piece looks like the remains of an expansion bolt....drill hole in concrete or rock...insert plug...run the bolt in...tightens up the plug.

Hey Txkickergirl
The rusty thing looks like it is an old manual weld slag remover. they make them pneumatic now/22 longrifle bullets(are they lead) and the cap off of the rusty thing
sounds plausible,I think!

On the rusty thing,I kinda lean towards maybe an internal reamer. If those slots could have been blades,it would work as a reamer with the nut working to adjust the tolerances.I don't discount the expansion bolt but I don't think the material would still be that thick.

The crown shaped thing is a "crown top stopper" probably from a turn of the century Palmer's or a Larkins bottle. Most of these that I found were made of glass and a beautiful emerald green color, however I do have one or two metal ones that I dug out of a dump. You might outta dig 'round where you found it, the bottle might still be there. The attached pic is of a reproduction, I apologize that I cant take a pic of my own, but they're about 8000 miles away.........

I have seen the crown thingy gracing a valve stem on 1960's automobiles, aftermarket dress-up covers....NGE

I can agree with the crown being a bottle stopper it makes sense. I kept going from bottle stopper to some kind of top on a tea server or condiment dish. I have to take a look at the bullet looking things again, my brother has those, and the iron thing well, I think it will remain a mystery but thats ok because it is still rather cool looking. We do find a few bottles in that area, they range from old to today. Here is a link of the couple I posted

I assumed the "bullets" were lead. If they don't contain lead they are not bullets, especially so if they are hollow. Target tips for arrows? Possible, but I don't know of any that are made with grooves like you described. More information? Monty

The rings were caused from when the tips were machine staked to the wooden shafts, sorta like pinching.......NGE
