An area to full of nails to pick out anything, I've tried many machines including the etrac, but using the Platypus it zoned in hard on a few good targets in the middle of the junk that I missed with others, it found a 1/2" square piece of harmonica reed in my first 3 feet, then another 2 feet further and out came only my second coin from this location, an 1804 bust half cent. I am including a pic but it will most likely look like a green circle. Yep looks like a green circle..oh well.

The Joey coil was on back order but is on the way, I can't wait now.

Hosensack, now you have my curosity up. What detector did you put that coil on that only picked up good stuff in a field of junk?hand print-2_edited-3.jpg

It was on the etrac, I was hunting in a pretty wide open screen in 2TF. Like I said I am not claiming I never got a signal there before but this one....and the king George the following day, were repeatable all the way around, it didn't get masked at all. It is a small area in the woods so it is very easy to cover this particular section thoroughly.

Also rereading your question, let me clarify, it still picked up the junk, it was very noisy, but these were not masked as before.
