The three-ring sign was the Ballentine logo; legend says Peter Ballentine picked up his glass and set it down three times leaving three rings. He then decided to use the logo for his beer. The item you have is a ball marker used by golfers when cleaning their ball on the green; they are likely from the late 50's or 60's.

Appreciate the comment BigCy :icon_thumleft: My middle name is Google ;D
Cool token of yours too and an interesting site in your last post.
Anyone reading this tried the brews?
I'm a lapsed but still keen, home brewer myself.

Nothing to add to the id, its definitely the Ballantine insignia, but it takes me back to days with my grandfather. He was a "fights" fanatic, and
Ballantine used to be the primary sponsor for those fights.

Along with their well-known (at the time) song

You make a ring
And then another ring
And then another ring
And now you've got three rings
Ballantine
And its a premium
It's a very special class of beer

And, everyone waited for that one time of year when Ballantine cleaned out their barrels, and sold "Ballantine Bock Beer"

Great find.
